Chartfield Homes was launched in 2019 by 3 well established and successful finance and property professionals, with the purpose of developing sites with potential for individually designed and quality focussed homes that stand apart from the homogenous properties being delivered by the general Housebuilding sector.
Richard Potts
Richard has circa 20 years’ experience in the residential and mixed-use development sector mostly operating in London, the Home Counties and Central Southern England.
Having spent 10 years at CALA Homes as Land and Planning Director, Richard then spent 3 years as Managing Director of Seaward Properties prior to setting up Chartfield Homes.
Richard has an extensive local network and is focussed on delivery of quality developments with a conscious strategy to avoid the mass-produced homes of volume Housebuilders.
Michael Dean
Michael is an experienced investor and entrepreneur with over 16 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate. He co-founded Avamore Capital in 2015, an institutionally funded bridging and development finance lender, which has lent over £500m to small and medium sized investors and developers in England.
Additionally, Michael has experience in commercial agency, spending 4.5 years at Cushman & Wakefield. He also worked for 2.5 years at private equity house Doughty Hanson & Co in their real estate funds.
In June 2011, Michael established a family office with his father-in-law where they focused on repositioning the family real estate portfolio and divesting part of the family healthcare business, which included one of the largest NHS dental practices in the UK, which was sold in 2014. As part of the family office Michael has acquired several office investments around the M25, secured planning permissions to change their uses to residential and sold the properties to residential developers.
Zuhair Mirza
Zuhair co-founded Avamore Capital in 2015, an institutionally funded bridging and development finance lender. Avamore Capital has lent over £500m to small and medium sized property professionals and developers in England.
Zuhair started his career at Goldman Sachs, one of the world’s premier investment banks, and worked his way through the business, achieving the role of Executive Director in 2014.
